SPORTS CONCERN TOURNAMENT RULES AND INFORMATION
2001 ASA rules will be in effect for all fields except;

BIJOU SCHOOL: Fair balls hit over the fence after the home run limit has been reached will be foul balls.
ICEBREAKER: The equalizer rule is in effect for all games, no team shall have 1 homerun more than its opponent, balls hit over the fence once in excess of one more shall be outs.
FALLBUSTER: Balls hit over the fence after the home run limit has been reached will be foul balls, not outs.
MEN'S OVER 40 HOME RUN RULE: Competitive - Over 40 ASA rule book;
Recreational - Men's ASA C rules with 1 Home Run and courtesy runners. All balls hit over the fence in excess of the home run rule in both divisions shall be outs.
A mat will be used for calling balls and strikes.

No metal cleats are allowed at any time. Use of metal cleats may result in player(s)
ejection from the game and/or tourney.

A coin flip will determine the home team. The home team shall be the official book, unless other arrangements are made. Score sheets will be furnished if needed

Game time is forfeit time. Infield warm-up only if time permits.

A 10 run rule for all qualifying games; a 15 run rule for the trophy games (4th place and above) is in effect after 5 innings.

There will be a time limit on all games (excluding the trophy games) to be determined atthe time of the tourney.

All protest will be handled by the umpires in charge of the game in question. Their
decision is final. Only rule interpretations may be protested.

No alcohol is permitted in any dugout, playing area or school property (including parking lots) at any time. Alcohol is permitted in the Zephyr Cove spectator area.

NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE ALLOWED AT ZEPHYR COVE AND NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED AT ANY FIELD.

Bijou has no water, bring your own.

Teams should be prepared to play early games at the start of the tournament. Allow
ample time to travel between fields.

NOTICE TO MANAGERS--You are responsible for the conduct of your players and fans before, during and after games. Failure to control same may result in forfeiture of games and/or removal from the tournament. All teams must turn in a roster of eligible players before their first game, only those on the roster are eligible. If the players do not sign the roster, the manager's signature will suffice.

All teams MUST be ASA registered, if Sports Concern registers a team, there will be a $10.00 registration fee.

No Refunds on Entry Fees

TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS WILL BE AT STEAMERS BAR AND GRILL, 2236 Lake Tahoe Blvd, inside the Super 8 Motel. Pick up your team packets at Steamers with tournament information, food, drink and entertainment specials. All Sports Concern tournaments are co-sponsored by the City of South Lake Tahoe.
